Building a product is one thing. Presenting it clearly, honestly, and publicly is another.

We’re proud to share that NarrateitAI (AI game narration software) has been officially approved by Kickstarter and is now live in its pre-launch phase. While the project is not funded at this stage, approval and pre-launch visibility represent an important milestone in the NarrateitAI journey.

Why Kickstarter Approval Matters

Kickstarter approval is not automatic. Every project is reviewed to ensure that:

  • The product is clearly defined

  • The scope is realistic

  • The campaign accurately represents what will be delivered

  • Risks and limitations are communicated honestly

For NarrateitAI, approval confirms that the campaign reflects a real, functioning product with a clear and achievable scope — not a concept, prototype, or speculative roadmap.

This was a deliberate decision during campaign planning, and it’s something we’ve stayed disciplined about throughout development.

Staying Aligned With the Campaign Vision

As presented on the Kickstarter pre-launch page, NarrateitAI is:

  • A Windows-only text-to-speech application

  • Designed specifically for gamers

  • Focused on reading selected on-screen text aloud

  • Powered by local, offline voice models

  • Built to support immersion, accessibility, and reduced reading fatigue

NarrateitAI is not positioned as a general productivity tool or a cloud-based AI assistant. The Kickstarter campaign makes this clear by focusing on one core use case:
helping gamers hear in-game text without breaking flow or focus.

Keeping the scope tight was a key decision during campaign building — and one that Kickstarter approval validates.

Why a Pre-Launch Page?

The NarrateitAI Kickstarter page is currently in pre-launch, which allows us to:

  • Share the project publicly before asking for funding

  • Collect early interest and follows

  • Refine messaging based on real engagement

  • Set expectations clearly and transparently

Pre-launch is about preparation, not pressure. It gives us space to ensure that what’s presented matches what’s been built — and that supporters know exactly what NarrateitAI is designed to do.

Not Funded Yet — And That’s Still Progress

It’s important to be upfront:
the NarrateitAI Kickstarter campaign has not been funded yet.

This blog post isn’t about celebrating a funding outcome that hasn’t happened. It’s about acknowledging a meaningful step forward.

Kickstarter approval and a live pre-launch page mean:

  • The campaign structure is sound

  • The feature set is realistic

  • The delivery plan is credible

  • The project meets Kickstarter’s trust standards

That foundation matters regardless of how the campaign ultimately performs.

What Comes Next for NarrateitAI

As we move forward from pre-launch, the focus remains exactly as the campaign defines it:

  • Continuing to refine NarrateitAI within its existing scope

  • Listening to early feedback from interested users

  • Improving reliability, narration flow, and usability

  • Staying disciplined about what NarrateitAI is and isn’t

Any future development will build on the decisions already reflected in the Kickstarter project, not drift away from them.
